  • Question: What does my ticket include?
    • We are excited to announce that there will be two ticket options for 2023!
      • General Admission Tickets will be $45 at the gate. The purchase is tax deductible and includes general admission for the day to the Pig Jig beginning at 1 p.m. Showcasing live music from Wirewood Station and Soapdish, potential BBQ sample tastings during the competition, plus three drinks from the bar, and stay all day to attend the first ever Rocky Mountain Pig Jig Celebration Concert featuring Jeffrey Alan Band after the final prize drawing winners are selected and the amateur BBQ competition winners are announced.
      • 5 Year Celebration Concert Only Tickets will be $20 at the gate only and include admission beginning at 6:30 p.m. to the concert featuring Jeffrey Alan Band. Drink purchases from the bar require a separate purchase.
    • Free bottled water and soda available, while supplies last.
    • Local food trucks and artisan vendors will be at the Pig Jig and require separate payment.
  • Question: When will tickets go on sale?
  • Question: Are there any discounted codes for tickets?
    • We will offer discounted ticket pricing online for 2023. $30 online, $45 at the gate.
  • Question: Do kids require a ticket?
    • Children 12 and younger are free at the Rocky Mountain Pig Jig and do not require an admission ticket; however, they do need to check in at registration with their families and receive their own wristbands.
    • Youth ages 13-20 require an admission ticket. Those are $20.
  • Question: Can you eat BBQ?
    • Teams competing in the 2023 Rocky Mountain Pig Jig amateur BBQ competition may have samples for you to taste after they have submitted their category submissions, beginning after 2 p.m.
    • Teams are not required to provide samples, but most do.
    • There will be various local food trucks with yummy delights for a separate purchase, too.
  • Question: Is there food and drink for purchase?
    • We will post the list of food and merchandise vendors to expect closer to the event.
  • Question: Are dogs allowed?
    • Leashed service animals only are allowed on the grounds of the Western Museum of Mining and Industry.
  • Question: How do we enter the prize drawings?
    • Prize drawing tickets are sold in the Pig Jig merchandise tent and you can make your lucky winning selections there as well.
  • Question: Is re-entry allowed?
    • Yes. You must exit and re-enter through the main gate.
  • Question: What is the Rocky Mountain Pig Jig’s alcohol ordinance?
    • All Rocky Mountain Pig Jig guests must adhere to the following rules:
      • No outside alcohol will be allowed in the event.
      • Guests who are obviously impaired will not be admitted through the event checkpoint at the discretion of event management.
      • You must be at least 21-years-old to purchase alcohol. All alcohol sales require a government-issued photo ID as proof of age.
      • No Identification = No Alcohol.
  • Question: Is there a rideshare drop-off and pick-up area?
    • Fans are encouraged to drink responsibly and utilize rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft when attending the Rocky Mountain Pig Jig. For your convenience, guests using taxis, limos and rideshare vehicles can be picked up or dropped off in front of the Western Museum of Mining and Industry off of Northgate Blvd. in our designated rideshare area. 
  • Question: Is there a designated smoking area?
    • Yes, we have a designated area for smoking area clearly marked off of the Pig Jig concourse.
    • No smoking, other than meat, allowed on the Pig Jig concourse.
  • Question: Are there designated parking areas?
    • Yes, our parking attendants will assist with directing you to designated parking areas at the event. We will also have a shuttle service from parking to the main gate, and back.
  • Question: Is there a schedule of events? What time does the live music begin?
    • Check back for 2023 details. Live Music begins at 1 p.m. when the gate opens to the public.
    • We’ll announce the final schedule of events closer to the event date. Stay up-to-date by following us on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Question: How can I volunteer for the Rocky Mountain Pig Jig?
    • The Pig Jig would not be possible without the time and talent of generous individuals in our community. From registration to ticket sales, games to the raffles, we have a variety of opportunities available for you to get involved. Visit our volunteer page for more information.
  • Question: What does the money raised by the Rocky Mountain Pig Jig go towards?
    • We are so glad that you asked! The Rocky Mountain Pig Jig benefits NephCure, the only nonprofit organization committed to supporting research, improving treatment and finding a cure for debilitating protein-spilling kidney diseases, Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Nephrotic Syndrome, and others.
